Uniting Church Australia (QLD) were struggling with sheer volume of website content and the inability to search the website effectively. Users were utilising the website for mass PDF documents and outdated content. This meant that two digital projects were initiated with TwentyTwo proposing a new Information Hub and Website.
The primary objective of this project was to separate the user experiences and create a clean, streamlined process for knowledge sharing. This meant that the hub was centred around internal documentation, forms and curation of these properties. Whereas the website was public facing and focused on representing the emotion behind the Synod, the ability for users to donate and also, find a church across Queensland.
TwentyTwo Digital put forward a highly detailed structure for the Hub and Website, meaning that each pathway was carefully curated to represent key target audience personas. Upon design creation, user testing was conducted leveraging brain scanning technology and general consumer behaviour analysis. From these test, TwentyTwo Digital identified key barriers for users and colour associations to emulate primary emotions intended from the client (warm, friendly etc). In development, TwentyTwo worked with the client on their tech stack (Microsoft) to employ a solution that syncs everyday with their systems to push content to the hub with the latest versions. These were carefully curated into areas easily accessible for users.
Since the UCA website and hub launch, the client has had extremely positive impact and results have indicated that the intended purpose of both platforms has been achieved. While the hub is publicly accessibly, the results have no comparison as it is a new platform. However, the website has seen over 700% increase in users, over 600% increase in meaningful actions and conversions with 26.4% more users having engaged sessions with the website.
